About Us

Mountain Farm Tours is located on Vance Mountain Farm in Haysi, Virginia and we’re only 8 miles from The Breaks Interstate Park on the Va / Ky line. 

The farm is owned and operated by Gary and Joyce Vance (AKA Paw and Granny) and their five children. Gary worked as an underground coal miner, but it was always Gary and Joyce’s dream to own a farm.  

In 1988, they bought Vance Mountain Farm.  Their children now raise their own families on Vance Mountain and we hope that we can share the love and family connection we have with other families.
